Electrical Inspector

Location - Manchester
Hours - 37.5 per week -DAYS
Salary - 28K - £30K Depending on experience + pension + opportunities to travel +

Currently recruiting for Electrical / Electronic Inspector to work in an experienced team carrying out test & inspections to ensure Safety & Quality standards are met. Candidates from an Electronic Manufacturing background would be ideal.

Regular working Hours

07:30 - 15:30 - Early finish on a Friday

Duties Include

* Carry out the necessary level and frequency of inspection and testing to ensure Quality & Safety Standards are maintained.
* Inspect electrical materials, parts, sub-assemblies, intermediate inspections along with final inspections for electrical products within the business.
* Ensure inspection of WIP parts, sub-assemblies / assemblies are carried out in co-ordination with the Manufacturing manager.
* Attend supplier's premises as required to undertake source inspection of goods and materials.
* General maintenance on test equipment
* Assist in producing test documents for old and new products
* Willing to undergo training and learn new training techniques
* Work efficiently in a team

Relevant experience includes
* Low voltage AC/DC distribution panel build.
* Signal/IO electronic panel build.
* In process inspection of solder joints, crimp contacts etc....
* Field cable/harness assembly, termination and installation.
* Testing of sub-assemblies, continuity, short circuit etc....
* ESD control awareness.

Candidate Requirements

* Apprentice trained / Time served with minimum NVQ level 3 electrical qualification.
* Flexible approach to work
* Ability to travel UK & abroad
* ESD control awareness.
* J Standard or I.P.C certificates (Desirable)
* Ability to interpret diagrams and read drawings
* Electronic Repair, Assembly, Service, or Maintenance Engineering background
