We have an opportunity for an E, C & I Senior Designer to join our nuclear client based in Cumbria (Westlakes Science Park). Please see details below for more information.

Job Role & Responsibilities:
To be part of SSEP Encrypted Communications team to deliver several projects across the Sellafield Site.
This person must be capable of working without direct supervision and have the ability to translate a client requirement into a meaningful engineering solution. Good communication skills are essential and the aptitude to drive a team of designers is crucial.

Responsibilities will include:
*Maintains compliance with Engineering Standards and applicable legislation.
*To participate in Design Reviews and, where appropriate, organise such reviews. Ensure that subsequent design meets the projects requirements.
*Ensuring the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients.
*Ensuring the requirements of the Health & Safety of Work act, CDM, Machineries Directive, and the COSHH regulations are understood and complied with.
*Liaise with the Engineering Manager to ensure effective project delivery to time and cost.
*Promote a good working relationship.
*Carry out C,E&I surveys within C1 and C2 Areas on the Sellafield Site to identify suitable routes for Fibre Optic Cables.
*Author applicable reports to detail survey findings and proposals.
*Checking of sketches or drawings produced to support the survey work.
*Liaise with Information Security to confirm suitability of design.
*Review existing proposed power supply design relating to radio & communications equipment.

Qualifications and Comments:
*Educated to HNC / HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline or a chartered engineering member of an appropriate institute.
*Currently SC security cleared.
*Experience on the Sellafield Site.
*Experience of localised guaranteed non interruptible supplies.
*Understanding of Fibre Optic systems.
*Communications Experience.
*4G knowledge.
