We have an opportunity for an E, C & I Designer to join our nuclear client based in Cumbria (Westlakes Science Park). Please see details below for more information

Job Role & Responsibilities:
To be part of the management team to deliver several projects / sub-contractors across the Sellafield Site.
This person must be capable of working with minimal direct supervision and have the ability to translate a client requirement into a meaningful engineering design solution. Engineering design experience is fundamental and nuclear experience is preferable but not essential.

Responsibilities will include:
*Ensuring compliance with client specifications and engineering standards. The role works alongside the Senior Engineer to ensure scope changes, and time constraints are managed.
*Responsible, in co-operation with Client Project Engineers, for the technical quality of all conceptual designs, design schemes and detail drawings and associated design documentation.
*Maintains compliance with Engineering Standards and applicable legislation.
*To participate in Design Reviews Ensure that subsequent design meets the projects requirements.
*Ensuring the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients.
*Ensuring the requirements of the Health & Safety of Work act, CDM, Machineries Directive, and the COSHH regulations are understood and complied with.
*Liaise with the Senior Engineer to ensure effective project delivery to time and cost.
*Maintain effective discipline.
*Maintain an overview of their project and provide some direction on project process, communications and consistency of approach.
*Promote a good working relationship.

Qualifications and Comments:
*Educated to HNC / HND in a relevant engineering discipline member of an appropriate institute.
*Currently BS or SC Security cleared would be ideal.
