Site Security Enhancement Project (SSEP) - Encrypted Communications.
The Sellafield Security Enhancements Programme (SSEP) is a critical programme of works supporting Security Enhancements at the Sellafield Site.
Job Description / Role :
To be part of SSEP Encrypted Communications team to deliver several projects across the Sellafield Site.
This person must have the ability to translate the client requirement into a meaningful engineering solution. Good communication and skills are essential and the aptitude to drive a team of designers is crucial.
Responsibilities will include:
Maintains compliance with Engineering Standards and applicable legislation
Ensure that subsequent design meets the projects requirements.
Ensuring the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients
Ensuring the requirements of the Health & Safety of Work act, CDM, Machineries Directive, and the COSHH regulations are understood and complied with
Liaise with the Senior Design Engineer to ensure effective project delivery to time and cost.
Assist with the carrying out CE&I surveys within C1 and C2 Areas on the Sellafield Site to identify suitable routes for Fibre Optic Cables.
Support the authoring applicable reports to detail survey findings and proposals.
Produce sketches or drawings produced to support the survey work.
Support Design Reviews
Educated to HNC / HND in a relevant engineering discipline
Currently SC security cleared.
Experience on the Sellafield Site
Experience of localised guaranteed non-interruptible supplies
Understanding of Fibre Optic systems
This position is subject to the ability of the candidate to obtain as a minimum baseline personal security standard clearance and obtain a Sellafield P1 / P4 pass.
Design Tools /Software
MS Office suite of programmes
Knowledge of CIMAGE
