An immediate opportunity for a DV level security cleared, Mechanical/Electrical Building Services Supervisor looking for a new challenge.
Our client requires a number of DV cleared Supervisors to be based at British Embassies/High Commissions in Accra, Algiers & Sao Paulo. Competitive annual salary with a full relocation package is included which includes, accommodation, baggage, insurances and schooling for children if applicable.
While recognising their important support function in handling projects, the primary role is to focus on the safe and proper maintenance of the overseas estate. They will achieve this by working with the Line Manager and Technical Manager towards compliance with the requirements of the Mini Building Hazard Risk Assessments programme (PCA) and other inspections and safety audits. These include, but are not limited to;
Management of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme for the estate.
Advise on Healthy and Safety (H&S) compliance matters.
Provide hands-on technical support as required.
Supervise multi-skilled technical teams.
Provide technical support and guidance to senior management teams.
Oversee minor new works/small projects up to the value of £50k.
Undertake Continual Professional Development to maintain a level of technical competence sufficient to carry out the job.
Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate will be from a Mechanical or Electrical trade services background with a knowledge of all types of services within commercial & residential buildings.
Experience of inspecting & testing electrical systems to 18th Edition standard, working with generator sets, A/C split systems, HVAC, plant rooms and chillers would also be beneficial. Candidates with overseas experience in a similar role with the following qualifications preferred;
Developed Vetting (DV) level security clearance
City & Guilds/HNC
Electrical or Mechanical trade services qualifications will also be required.
