We are looking to recruit a Digital and Content Coordinator to work for a defence company based at The Quadrant, London.

The purpose of the role is to support the delivery of External Communications Campaigns across digital channels and be a digital advocate for the business and help implement the digital strategy. the jobholder will manage UK social media channels and support the Digital & Content Manager to deliver communications improvement projects (e.g. website and digital advocacy). You will also support the External Communication Business Partners to deliver market campaigns and be responsible for monitoring, measurement and reporting. The role reports to the Head of Digital & Content and fits in to the UK Communications function. The role interfaces and is tasked directly by the Digital & Content Managers to support the creation and delivery of UK, market, and 'must win' product and capability focused campaigns.

The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of UK brand and reputational campaigns, advise on online channels and to support the core UK external & internal content strategies and implementation programmes through:

- Content generation, planning and online channel delivery
- Stakeholder management
- Community management
- Project and resource management
- Brand management
- Content generation, optimisation, planning and online channel delivery
- Measurement and reporting

This individual is a specialist in all things related to digital, content and channel optimisation, brand consistency, analytics and meaningful measurement.

Responsibilities include
- Managing social media channels
- Working proactively to engage with targeted audiences and key influencers to increase brand awareness.
- Content generation, i.e., produce clear, compelling, motivating content quickly. Ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimised for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, and email.
- Ensuring UK online experience is aligned to the global experience and implement appropriate localisation strategies as required.
- Work closely with appropriate business partners on all creative and branding initiatives to ensure a consistent message across channels.
- Ensuring that delegated campaign deliverables support the Company Brand Guidelines and match relevant Thales procurement and delivery processes.

Experience required;
- Strong, demonstrable team working and best practise sharing skills.
- Ability to tell a story using words, images, or audio, and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience.
- Proven editorial skills. Outstanding command of the English language.
- Exceptional project and budget management skills to manage content delivery, resources and deadlines.
- The ability to direct teams of creative personnel (suppliers) and content creators to achieve campaign goals.
- A passion for new technology tools and usage of those tools within own blogs and social media outreach.
- A willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly.
- Great powers of persuasion and presentation (Visio, PowerPoint)
- Experience creating a resource or library of content indicating SEO, appropriate channel and version control.
- Basic technical understanding of HTML, XHTML, CSS, Java, web publishing, Flash, etc.
- Multilingual abilities (specifically French) is desirable
- Proven community management / social media management skills.
- Proven ability to recognise a newsworthy story, create compelling messages and deploy the relevant tactics to optimise impact.
- Expertise in all major business software applications (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, CMS).
- Fluency in web analytics tools (Google Analytics), social media marketing applications (HootSuite.) and leading social media monitoring platforms
- Demonstrable experience of understanding business requirements and translating these requirements into a content strategy and implementation programme.
- Ability to deliver within an allocated budget.
- Proven news content writing ability for print, online and briefings, for a range of external stakeholders.
- Strong, demonstrable project and resource management skills.
- Strong, demonstrable team working and best practise sharing skills.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Public Relations or related Communications field or equivalent. A Communications and/or marketing post graduate qualification is desirable.
