Are you a DevOps Engineer that is interested in working with bleeding edge technologies for a company that is at very forefront of technology working extensively with the Home Office and the Ministry of Defence on ground-breaking projects.

For over 50 years this business has been servicing Defence solutions and the intelligence community, providing highly complex IT solutions to a critical industry to the UK and even during this difficult period is predicting further growth across the business and in particular the security division with not one furlough or redundancy announced.This vacancy will be working on a brand-new team in the business to help support their customers capability's.

Responsible for building, developing and creating a new DevOps function. Engaging with existing and new customers. Extremely collaborative environment to shape IT Infrastructure and achieve together with committed people to develop a set of consistent and repeatable DevOps processes and tooling ensuring availability, automation in an agile CI/CD delivery both on premise and in the cloud.

Experience/background they are looking for:

  • Experience with Kubernetes Administration and Docker
  • Continuous integration, continuous delivery/deployment tooling - Jenkins/Drone/Gitlab
  • Configuration management tooling such as Ansible and Terraform
  • Knowledge of Database technologies such as Postgres and MariaDB
  • Collaboration tooling experience such as the Atlassian toolset
  • Hands on experience of Linux (including CentOS), VMWare vSphere, AWS
