Job Purpose

Support the Head of site in delivering a strategic communications service with specific focus on local internal and external stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will be required to attend site management team meetings and give professional guidance. Presentations will be required to be delivered to internal and external audiences.

Tactical communication plans will need to be developed in conjunction with the Head of Communications and implemented.

Key Accountabilities

Delivery of bespoke communications pertinent to internal stakeholders of site specific information and organisational wide messaging.

Local stakeholder engagement providing a service of two-way dialogue with key local stakeholder audiences.

Management of crisis communications at a local level under the direction of Head Office as required by the Group policy.

Local media engagement and issue local press/news releases when required.

Provide sufficient training for nominated media spokespersons.

Local management of conference attendance.

Upholding established Client brand guidelines on site.

Delivery of pertinent KPI's for communications team and submission of associated data.

Management of specific project budgets.

Uphold and implement all departmental policies and procedures.

Support the Group PR & Comms function to deliver on its objectives.

Skills Required

Experience of using MS Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint to an Intermediate level is required.

Knowledge and experience of using Content Management Systems is required

Experience of using Microsoft SharePoint or other file sharing sites would be desirable.

Proven high quality proof reader with excellent attention to detail

Demonstrate a wide range of writing techniques (including press releases, articles, speeches, briefing notes etc.)


degree in Communications related discipline of 2.1 and above (or equivalent)
