Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring data integrity of the demand history and demand forecast data
    within the demand forecasting system
  • Collecting, processing and incorporating demand forecast information (customer intelligence, customer forecasts, new product launch data) from different sources
  • Creating an accurate monthly baseline demand forecast at the customer/product level in a timely manner based on demand history data and demand forecasting information received
  • Having full ownership of the baseline demand forecast but ensuring acceptance from the business unit directors and sales through collaboration and clear communication
  • Managing the Anticipated Events demand forecasting piece in close collaboration with responsible sales people, providing correct input in the forecasting system and ensuring monthly review of Anticipated Events in respect of timing and volume, implementing required changes to Anticipated Events in the forecasting system (sales people assume ownership for Anticipated Events)
  • Communicating and getting acceptance from the business units on the total demand forecast
  • Working closely together with planning to clarify and update the demand forecast if needed and when required participate in meetings
  • Coordinates development of product forecasts by region over short/medium/long term planning horizon (ie. 24 months rolling forecast)
  • Analyses Key Customer ordering patterns, product sales trends, and the impact of Product/Marketing plans on the regions to improve predictability of forecasts
  • Develops the monthly KPI package and drives improvements related to demand management

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions, esp. Sales & Marketing
  • Demonstrated skills interacting at various levels of an organisation
  • Experience in Demand Planning and/or Sales & Operations Planning required
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience implementing new business processes and driving organisational change
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills including statistical analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of operations/manufacturing systems, including S&OP/MRP concepts
  • Advanced knowledge of S&OP systems and processes
  • Proficiency PC/Window - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project
  • Oracle ERP and Kinaxis RR Planning software
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent industry experience
  • Experience in Customer Services, Demand Forecasting or Supply Planning within a Regulated Manufacturing environment
  • Experience of working with data management systems (ERP, forecasting, planning) and performing data analysis
