Our Client have a fantastic opportunity for a Delivery Engineering Manager to join an existing team based in Warrington. The role requires the successful candidate to hold or be able to obtain BPSS Clearance.

This role is working inside IR35.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading and coordinating the delivery of multi discipline engineering team.

Leading and motivating their Plant Area Engineering Team

Managing and coordinating planned engineering design activities.

Ensuring designs for their plant area satisfy specified functional requirements.

Ensuring the delivery of discipline specific engineering designs for the plant area are compliant with the relevant legal requirements, standards and quality targets.

Ensuring that the engineering team provides timely and effective support to the Construction and Commissioning teams.

Planning and arranging any design verification activities carried out for their plant area, i.e. design reviews, constructability reviews, model reviews, assurance reviews, hazard identification studies.

Identifying, defining and managing design interfaces with the other plant area to ensure fully co-ordinated, ‘clash-free’ designs.

Delivering engineering designs for their respective plant area, working within the approved plant area budget and scheduled completion dates.

Ensuring their team works within the approved budget and scheduled completion dates for engineering design activities.

Providing regular updates of engineering progress to the Project Controls team for their plant area.

Checking and approving engineering deliverables, where specified on the approved Design Quality and Verification Plan for their plant area

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE


An experienced Engineering Manager or Lead Engineer, either with a process, mechanical/piping or CE&I background

Nuclear experience, preferably with Sellafield Ltd.

Professional engineer, ideally chartered status.

3 years’ experience in a similar role

Competent with Microsoft Office software.

Familiar with the software used by the disciplines.
