OUR NUCLEAR SECTOR CLIENT BASED IN OXON ARE SEEKING A DELICENSING ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER ON A PERMANENT BASIS - To support an assigned site in delicensing and decommissioning work through: Providing site characterisation works supervision (and associated compilation and review of method statements and risk assessments)
Authoring technical reports in support of site release- specifically for Delicensing and Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 permit surrender documentation
Ensuring that adequate records are maintained for input into the site IMAGES/GIS land quality information system.
Maintain your own safe & secure workplace, identifying safety, environmental and information security risks and hazards then apply STAR and report unusual occurrences
Set out controls to ensure the safe delivery of tasks and ensure compliance with the local and Company Management System
Maintain knowledge of the relevant local and Company management systems
Identify risk on all work fronts and assess hazards and injury likelihood accordingly.
Document assessments and record actions
Use professional judgement to always consider relevant environmental and sustainability aspects when compiling works specifications for site characterisation and remediation.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING - Degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, Nuclear Sciences, Engineering other scientific disciplines will be considered).
EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE - Experience in site characterisation works supervision
Experience in assessing land, materials or structures impacted by industrial activity and an ability to compile high quality technical reports to support site release documentation
