Integration Engineer (SC Cleared)

Location: Newport, Wales (100% on-site)

Duration: 6 Months

Rate: £450.00 per day

Our Newport based client have an opportunity for a Data Integration Engineer (SC Cleared) to join the team on an initial 6 month contract basis.

The tasks will involve the following:

* Validating consistency of DB state in SRM and Live
* Validating SQL backups in SRM and Live, testing restore points
* Ensuring status of hub-hub DB replication is good
* SQL Replication
* Application & services consistency (SSIS, Windows Services and IIS application)
* Infrastructure Clustering Solution (Windows cluster & SIOS Datakeeper cluster)
* Supporting planned change control requests which impact the DB and supporting infrastructure (Application and remedial testing in SRM followed by implementation in live)
* Supporting planned BC/DR events manual DB failover and recovery
* Supporting patch maintenance/testing for SQL & supporting infrastructure (i.e. SIOS Datakeeper cluster SW, application services .NET)
* Maintaining supporting documentation (LLD changes, configuration records)
* Maintain the SQL configuration in the Dev/Test/Demo environments
* Maintain constant feedback of performance/issues within the application to the development team
* Provide a liaison bridge between the development team and the IS team to ensure design/changes are coordinated and implemented correctly

Required Experience:
- Strong background in Data Migration
- Experience of running a complex SQL server based application using SSIS and SQL database clustering (multiple sites) in a live environment
- Data Management

**Due to the nature of the project you Must hold current SC Clearance in order to be selected for interview**
