Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst you will partner with key stakeholders in HR Services to provide insight around key performance measures. You will use all available HRS performance and people data sources to create visualisations and data models, as well as engaging and facilitating in the subsequent creation of actionable insight and analytics solutions to accelerate the delivery of the HR Services business objectives.

You will provide data and analytical support to HR Services projects and also advise and guide external customers on all aspects of the design, construction, test and delivery of new HR reports from SuccessFactors and will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of existing HR reports, allowing others in the organisation to easily access their HR data.

Key Accountabilities :

Internal Performance Measurement

  • Develop visualisations that enable key HR service performance and people measures to be represented in an engaging way on a routine basis and act as local subject matter expert in their interpretation
  • Collaborate with service line leads to develop insights and recommendations based on internal HR Services performance data outputs
  • Collaborate with the Data Integrity Analyst to investigate and quantify interventions across HR Services and to analyse the impact on performance
  • Support the Data Analytics Lead, providing performance data that supports the daily, weekly and monthly service review meetings
  • Act as a subject matter expert, provide data and analytical support to HR Services projects

External Reporting (SuccessFactors)

  • Construct and maintain intuitive reports and dashboards to allow users in the business to accurately visualise and interpret data in the HR System (SuccessFactors) allowing appropriate business decisions to be made
  • Test existing reports following any enhancements in system functionality (e.g. SuccessFactors quarterly releases) to ensure that all areas work as expected, thus providing users with continuous access to HR data
  • Maintain reports pertaining to bulk uploads, ensuring that the team ultimately responsible for these can continue to retrieve relevant data from the system after any system enhancements have been applied
  • Issue of invitations to participate in the monthly Customer Satisfaction surveys and to collate and present results from these
  • Review and respond to customer queries to help the customer develop their business requirements

Key skills required:

  • Customer stakeholder skills; building strong relationships and able to act as a trusted advisor
  • Experience working with visualisation tools to support the presentation of complex data
  • Experience of SAS Business Intelligence software (e.g. Tableau, Business Objects, Cognos)
  • SuccessFactors reporting experience or equivalent
  • An expert in MS Excel (Access, VBA, SQL an advantage)
  • Good working knowledge of relational databases and adept at database query construction
  • Up to date with external market trends and innovations in analytics
