We are looking for a Data Analyst for an immediate start for our Oil & Gas Operator in Aberdeen. This is for an immediate start for a short term duration - 40 days.
Brief description: interpret data, identify patterns and trends in information, collate their findings and present them to the Project Manager and team. Candidates must hold Advanced Excel skills, the ability to quickly and effectively pull data from different sources (eg Word, PDF, etc) and be immediately available.
Responsibilities: Manage data confidentially. Interpret data, identify patterns and trends. Collate findings and present conclusions.
Key Duties: Conduct invasive searches of a variety of file formats including, but not limited to, Excel, Word and PDF and targeting specific data, words and phrases. Integrate information from a variety of documents, connect the data and identify any themes and trends. Analyse and interpret the data with direction and support from relevant subject matter experts. Identify patterns and trends. Collate findings and present conclusions in a simple and straightforward format.
Education Attainment & Accreditation: Advanced Excel and strong knowledge of other Microsoft packages.
Professional Skills & Experience: Experience of working within an oil and gas sector operator, service company or consultancy. Previous experience of data analysis. Ability to work independently as well as organize, prioritise and plan to meet tight timelines. Strong IT skills, Advanced Excel and proficient in other Microsoft and other relevant software packages. Basic grasp of oil and gas terminology and commonly used acronyms.
Interpersonal Skills & Qualities: A reliable and approachable team player, self-motivated with ability and desire to take responsibility. Strong attention to detail.
