POSITION: DATA ANALYST
PAY RATE: 71.77/HE LTD
Business Analysts liaise with potential and contracted Customers to understand the business needs and to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements. Typically, Business Analysts are involved throughout the project from requirements capture to release and on-going service support. The analyst may also be required to develop a business case in order to justify the required level of investment and ensure any risks are considered. The business analyst may also be key in supporting the organisation in assessing whether predicted business benefits have been delivered..
Key Responsibility Areas
The Business Analyst role includes the following accountabilities and responsibilities:
*Development, documentation, configuration control of Business Requirements using case scenarios. Working with the business and functions to ensure alignment to business processes and operations.
*Provision of impartial analysis of the capability of potential solutions during down-selection phase.
*Analysis and determination of User Requirements Specifications, working closely with business functions to ensure that all requirements are clearly and fully documented.
*Assist business functions to develop Business Process Models, ensuring alignment of business & IS solutions
*Translate business knowledge into workable specifications and communicate these specifications to the technical team members.
*Ensure completeness of specifications and design documentation (Functional and Non-functional Requirements) , ensuring configuration control of all requirement documentation
*Understand how changes and new systems interconnect with existing systems and devices and business processes/procedures.
*Capture and manage evolving business change requirements
*Develop and document Acceptance Test Criteria working with functional representatives to ensure that detailed use case scenarios are documented. Leading the customer acceptance activities ensuring that test criteria are defined and met.
Knowledge of the Defence Industry is advantageous and in particular the areas of Asset Management, Maintenance and Sustainment.
* Proven knowledge of Business Analysis frameworks and methodologies.
* Membership of professional body (i.e. IEEE, IIBA, BCS, )
* Professional Accreditation
- ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis or IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP))
