Job Title: Data Administrator/Analyst
Location: Portsmouth
Duration: 3 months
Hours: Full time
Pay: £10.62 per hour PAYE / £13.44 per hour LTD

The New Year is bringing new opportunities with some of our key clients already and our client in Portsmouth is no exception. They are currently looking for a Data Administrator/Analyst to work as a member of the Estimating Functional team at Portsmouth Naval Base. This key role will be responsible for providing data support to specific bid teams or to the business generally.

You will be required to perform a significant amount of data analysis and spread sheet modelling and must be very capable in MS Excel and able to interpret requirements and work within a fast paced team environment

The role will report to the Estimating Manager within the bid team but will work closely with others and should be able to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

-Creation and development of cost and pricing models to provided analysis output for business questions.
-Review, analysis and reconciliation of new bid data.
-Review inputs and ensure these are in line with the scope of work.
-Challenge functional estimate inputs as appropriate.
-Provide frequent feedback to supervision, the bid team and/or other key stakeholders.
-Provide data and information, as required, for internal reviews and meeting and, as required, in support of cost investigation and customer negotiations.

Skills and Experience

-Ideally qualified to A Level, ONC/HNC standard or similar as a minimum, preferably in Business Studies, Engineering or Mathematics.
-Excellent I.T. Skills, in particular Microsoft Excel.
-Experience of using SAP, IFS or other MRP/Accounting software
-Strong communication and presentation skills.
-Able to manage own workload effectively to meet business deadlines
-Works on own initiative with responsibility for delivery.
-The ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications and customer requirements would be an advantage.
