As a Cyber Solutions Architect for this large Manchester based client, you will work with the Lead Solutions Architect and Head of Architecture to develop and design key enterprise solutions across a wide range of technologies.


1. Working collaboratively within an integrated internal and as required supplier team to deliver transformed Business and IT Services
2. Recommends/designs security structures and tools for processes, applications and technologies which meet business needs
3. Delivers technical visualization of proposed applications for approval by customer and execution by system developers
4. Develops and translates logical designs into outline solution designs and solution options to meet customer requirements
5. Undertakes or supports market studies and option evaluations, product selections
6. Supports business case development and benefits identification and benefits realization (including benchmarking and KPI development)
7. Develops security solution architectures to deliver specific projects and capability improvements that form part of an overall business transformation or IT transformation effort
8. Identifies and evaluates potential solutions, including demonstrating, installing and commissioning selected products
9. Captures and develops architectures within a repository-based architecture modeling tool
10. Leveraging the use of industry-recognized standards and frameworks, such as TOGAF, ITIL and to provide common understanding amongst key stakeholders of supporting architectural concepts and their impacts
11. Participating in the definition of technical standards and guidelines, and their establishment within an Organisation
12. Presenting IT and Cyber solutions to a range of stakeholders in the business and technical communities (ideally up to CxO level).

Essential technical skills:
* Detailed technical knowledge spanning enterprise and cybersecurity technologies, systems and infrastructure, private and public cloud (Azure/AWS) Providing technical subject matter expertise in security product(s), their usage, support, architecture and their interoperability within the overall solution
* Experience building and executing an IT and Cyber strategy, maintaining a technology roadmap and being able to adapt to business, market and technical change
* Detailed understanding of Risk in a Security context
* Previous experience acting as a lead participant in Security Governance forums
* Detailed experience across a range of Security technologies - NextGen Firewalls, DLP, NAC, IDS/IPS, SIEM, etc.
* Knowledge of risk assessment procedures and experience in working with security-relevant standards and frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, etc)
* Extensive experience communicating complex technical information and informing the priority of spend, based on technical input and related cyber risk vs. conflicting business priority
* Ability to understand and articulate the interactions between business functions, processes and IT components, how the individual parts interact with and impact the whole
* Demonstrable experience of maintaining knowledge of innovative, cutting-edge and emerging technology trends and solutions, ensuring that the business is able to make effective use of new technologies
* Experience of developing application, cloud and infrastructure transformation/migration strategies and plans
* An ability to provide Cyber Solutions Architecture expertise & guidance to the Heads-of-technology, Service and Chief Security Officer, advising on possible solutions
* An ability to provide architecture expertise & guidance to the business to ensure solutions are produced which adhere to a set of architecture guidelines
* A degree-level qualification and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field

Desirable technical skills / Qualifications:
* CISSP, CCSP or equivalent certification level
* CASB's Symantec CloudSoc.
* McAfee SIEM / Enterprise Security Manager
* Privileged Access Managemet solutions - BeyondTrust
* WAN / LAN / Data Centre Technologies and Infrastructure exposure
* IoT / Smart Infrastructure
* Provision on Managed IT Services inc SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.
