We have an opportunity for a C S and A MANAGER based on the Sellafield Site in Cumbria.


Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership throughout the whole construction lie cycle of the BEP Project supporting the Zero Harm culture.

Lead, manage and motivate the Project Civil, Structural and Architectural Teams through implementation of Best Practice.

Ensure all CSA and wider site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations meeting all internal targets towards Zero Harm

Liaison with BEPDT department for Design, Procurement, Project Management and support functions along with the Sellafield stakeholders on construction matters

Ensure compliance with Site Licence Conditions

Ensuring provision of mature and approved plans for site construction delivery

Leadership of construction self delivery operations for CSA site works

Ensure self delivery operations are undertaken with Regulatory compliance, with involvement and support of constructability reviews and Hazcons

Management of interfaces and construction delivery requirements between multiple discipline site operations

Representation of construction discipline at client site operations interface level

Provide input for progress reporting at Construction discipline and Project level

Ensuring compliance with quality assurance requirements, supporting provision of as built surveys and Life Time Records

Interfaces between multiple joint venture partners and the client with embedded personal across all aspects of the project delivery process

Contribution to budgetary and schedule delivery

Investigation of non conformances and fostering a learning organisational approach

Building a strong and compliant HS and E culture

Ensuring resourcing undertaken to meet organisational requirements

Strong focus of team performance, training, mentoring and integration with client and joint venture teams

Clear understanding of importance of client relationship management in the effective management of projects

Use of core engineering skills to assess practicalities and risks of proposed civil, electrical and mechanical workscopes

Responsible for training and administrations for all engineers and operatives within the CSA teams

Ensure trainees and apprentices are properly trained and monitored

Provide leadership and guidance for professional development of all team members


Must have worked in a large joint venture project environment
Has a proven track record of successful project delivery £100m upwards
Experience in the management of a wide range of construction operations
Will be CEng or have significant experience as alternative
Must have a CSCS Card and must be SMSTS qualified
Substantial experience within H and S Management in an operational setting
