SSEP, SRP and S&R Programme

Project Description
SSEP, SRP and S&R Programme carry out multiple, large value, security projects across the Sellafield site.

Job Description / Role:
To be part of the management team to deliver several projects / sub-contractors across the Sellafield Site.
This person must be capable of working with minimal direct supervision and have the ability to translate a client requirement into a meaningful engineering design solution. Engineering design experience is fundamental and nuclear experience is preferable but not essential.

Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for ensuring compliance with client specifications and engineering standards. The role works alongside the Senior Designer to ensure scope changes, and time constraints are managed.
Maintains compliance with Engineering Standards and applicable legislation
To participate in Design Reviews. Ensure that subsequent design meets the projects requirements.
Ensuring the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients
Ensuring the requirements of the Health & Safety of Work act, CDM, Machineries Directive, and the COSHH regulations are understood and complied with
Liaise with the Senior Designer to ensure effective project delivery to time and cost.
Assist with the carrying out CS&A surveys within C1 and C2 Areas on the Sellafield Site to identify suitable routes for Fibre Optic Cables.
Support the authoring applicable reports to detail survey findings and proposals.
Produce sketches or drawings produced to support the survey work.

Essential Experience
Preferential Experience:
Educated to HNC / HND in a relevant engineering discipline
Currently SC security cleared.
Experience on the Sellafield Site
Experience of localised guaranteed non-interruptible supplies
Understanding of Fibre Optic systems
Communications Experience
4G knowledge

Security Clearance
This position is subject to the ability of the candidate to obtain as a minimum baseline personal security standard clearance and obtain a Sellafield P4 pass.
