Position Overview
Repsol Sinopec Resources UK's Supply Chain Management (SCM) team is a key support function and enables the commitment of several billion dollars of 3rd party spend across RSRUK's business. The Contracts Manager role will cover all category managed contracts that support RSRUK's operations and will take responsibility for all stages of the Contracting Process from strategy development through to performance management. The role will report directly to the Head of Supply Chain and will be part of the SCM Leadership Team, contributing significantly towards continuous improvement within the function and the company's annual business delivery objectives.

Accountabilities
* Strategic cross-asset Major Contracts Review & Strategy Development
* Implementation of a category management approach to strategic contracting
* Post award Contract Performance Management (CPM)
* Producing the annual contracting plan in consort with internal clients
* Support for Process and Performance Improvement
* Focal point for Competency, Coaching & Development of Contracts personnel
* Securing internal, shareholder and external approvals for contract awards
* Performance management of direct reports

Key Duties
* Applying sound business / SCM judgment and decision making to support business objectives
* Contribute significantly to safety and operational efficiencies, including the Company's OPEX and CAPEX costs
* Establishing contracting strategies and being accountable for implementation
* Managing the Contracting cycle - Strategy development and implementation through to Contract Performance Management
* Providing management and coaching on the application of modern SCM principles to their team
* Providing coaching to internal clients on the application of modern SCM principles
* Ensuring all contracts reflect the company's approved contracting positions
* Supporting team members to develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) aligned with key business objectives
* Supporting and developing strategy development papers, invitations to tender, evaluation plans, recommendations to award and negotiating plans and ensuring alignment and compliance with the governance process
* Development and approval of contracting plans aligned with UK tender board and JV shareholder board meeting dates
* Ensuring the quality of negotiated contracts, utilising standard company contract templates and in conjunction with the SCM Legal department
* Supporting the management of contractor performance delivery through a process of Contract Performance Management (CPM)
* Enable the organisation to manage change effectively (VOR's, Amendments) through the life cycle of the main contracts
* Working in an open and collaborative manner with key strategic contractors to ensure business delivery needs are clearly understood and performance targets (KPI's) are continually monitored to ensure successful attainment
* Build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Represent the company in relevant industry initiatives

Education Attainment & Accreditation
* Graduate in Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Finance, Law or other relevant subject or suitable equivalent experience through on the job training and development
* Post Graduate Diploma or Master's Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management or Commercial Law (MCIPS or equivalent)

Professional Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience of Contracts & Procurement in the Oil & Gas Industry preferably with an Operator or Tier 1 Contractor
* Oil & Gas Supply Chain Management experience in the UKCS with an advanced understanding of the marketplace, and contracting landscape as it applies to production operations
* Experience of leading high performing SCM teams and the continuing coaching and development of team personnel
* Significant experience with Strategic Sourcing, Category Management and Performance Management
