We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Specialist to join our Training supply chain team within the Emergency Services and Training Business Unit. The Contract Specialist will be responsible for negotiating and placing supply chain contracts to deliver training for a new customer. The role will deliver to training budgets whilst maximising revenue growth. Specific responsibilities will include: development of training supply chain, sourcing and enhanced due diligence of training suppliers, supplier relationship management, make/buy recommendation.
Experience managing complex supply chains to meet contractual requirement and drive maximum value.
Contract/ framework placement and management from creation to expiry/ renewal.
Understanding of strategic sourcing process inclusive of: budget, market analysis, tendering, evaluation and contract award.
Experience of value drivers and cost models inclusive of: cost negotiation, rebates and added value through soft savings.
Knowledge of wider Training and Further Education Market beneficial.
Understanding of Make/Buy decisions and associated considerations.
Experience using ERP systems specifically Navision.
Awareness of risks in training provision and requirements to consider as enhancement to supplier due diligence process.
Key Behavioural competencies:
The role holder will be primarily responsible for establishing and placing contracts within Training Assured Supply Chain. They will consider the current external customer supply base and validate the suitability of suppliers.
HNC or HND level qualification in related business discipline. (Desirable)
Knowledge of Training industry or service delivery supply chain beneficial but not mandatory.
Knowledge of Nuclear industry.
