Our IOW Client has a requirement for a Continuous Improvement Leader to join their team.
As a member of the Lean Department, you will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager. Your primary objective will be to coach and influence employees and managers to ensure the application of Lean tools and philosophies that deliver sustainable improvements to H&S, Quality, cost and the working environment. You will help focus the area leadership and employee teams on creating value for the customer, and help them to identify and eliminate waste through teaching and coaching.
Competent communication skills are paramount in this role, as you will be required to facilitate and lead improvements, which on occasion will necessitate a diplomatic but assertive approach. You must be self-motivated, energetic, focused and have the ability to see beyond temporary setbacks. Suitable candidates will be able to see the "big picture", identify issues and opportunities and select the appropriate tools and techniques to make improvements. In addition, you will be expected to work with other site continuous improvement leaders and lean project teams on a regular basis to ensure knowledge sharing and a consistent approach across the organisation.
With the ability to convey information, engage, motivate and organise at all levels, the successful candidate will have experience of project and change management alongside a competent technical background.
The Client is looking for candidates with previous experience of applying Lean tools. Additionally, experience of teaching and coaching would be a bonus. Analytical and PC skills are essential in this role, as you will be required to track savings and post results to the senior management team.
