Our client is an integrated facilities management services who provide the solutions, support, and facilities management services and they are looking for a Commodity Lead to be based in Manchester.

Job Purpose:

  • To provide and manage a strategic and robust supply chain, through strategic planning, performance measurement and risk management, delivering commodity strategies under the guidance of the Senior Commodity Lead, to support and achieve business and Client requirement
  • Hours: 9am - 5pm

Principle Accountabilities:

    • Create, manage and implement commodity strategies, which supports the business and Client requirements
    • Lead cross-functional project teams with key stakeholders for the tender process of assigned commodities
    • Negotiate and deliver cost savings through strategic tools, negotiation skills and e-auctions
    • Identify, select, develop and manage new supply chain to support future business through a rigorous evaluation process, on-going performance measurement, contract review and benchmarking
    • Manage supply market and supply chain research programmes to support the commodity portfolio
    • Provide clear communication lines to ensure that the business is made aware of all strategic initiatives
  • Integration of ISO 20400 Sustainable Procurement requirements

  • Develop Supplier Management Plans through KAM tools
  • Lead continuous improvement programmes within the supply chain to give best value to our clients
  • Analyse spend data
  • Analyse market/supply chain intelligence

Personal Specification:

  • Previous Commodity Management experience within FM services preferable
  • Knowledge and experience of Commodity Strategies, Strategic Sourcing and implementation of framework agreements
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement
  • Strong presentation, and influencing skills
  • Experience of driving value and delivering cost saving targets
  • Ability to lead and work in cross- functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills
  • MCIPS preferred
  • Valid full driving licence
