Commercial Manager with a defence background and experience of UK MoD contracting is required to work on Military Avionics bids & projects.

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager and/or Head of Commercial the Commercial Manager will work on a portfolio of accounts providing Commercial support and input to bid and project managers in support of some of the Company's key accounts. You will be expected to act with a degree of autonomy whilst keeping the Senior Commercial Manager and Head of Commercial and other stakeholders appraised of activities and advised on status.

The role involves but is not limited to the following:

On Bids:
Generate Commercial Responses in support of Company proposals.
Analyse Commercial and Contractual risk within a construct / offer and propose appropriate mitigations.
Assisting Bid Managers to generate or review other Proposal Documentation.
Participate in Bid Reviews, preparing material for the review as required and identify / brief on the key Commercial issues / topics within the offer.
Ensure that documentation meets the standards and requirements of the Company.
Prepare and/or review (as appropriate) the response to customers proposed agreements (eg. NDAs, Teaming Agreements, TAAs etc).
Prepare and negotiate contracts / contract amendments and arrange for their approval.

On Contracts:
Provide guidance on compliance to terms and conditions, identifying sub-contract flow downs.
Assist the Sub Contract Management function by supporting subcontract preparation as required.
Identification of potential liabilities, risks & issues arising with customers.
Liaise with other functions (eg. legal or finance) on contractual matters or issues with a view to their resolution.
Support Project reviews (internal & customer) including any reporting on contractual performance (such as KPIs or OTD) or obligations management.
Prepare internal reports on liabilities and actions taken to address issues or claims.
Ensure the Commercial Manager / Head of Commercial is appropriately briefed on issues in a timely manner and provide support to resolution.

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.
