Morson Group are currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join a global engineering business based in Gloucestershire. In this role, you will ensure the business is protected when entering into commercial agreements such as bids, tenders and contracts whilst ensuring they are ultimately successfully delivered. Reporting into the Commercial Director, you will also be looked at as an Advisor for contractual and commercial advice to the business whilst managing a small, but perfectly formed, team.

As Commercial Manager, you will:

  • Review and negotiate contract terms with customers and suppliers;
  • Work in conjunction with business development and purchasing teams across the business to understand and protect the business;
  • Manage live contracts, attending review meetings when required;
  • Asses and resolve any risk that arises with contracts and agreements;
  • Assist in the arrangement of transportation for finished goods; ensuring compliance at all times;
  • Create non-disclosure agreements with customers, suppliers and other interested parties;
  • Conduct regular reviews, 1-1's and development plans with your team;
  • Prepare bids/tenders for new contract wins;

To be successful in this role, you have previous experience of holding a Management level position within a Commercial Team. In your current and previous roles, you will have gained expert knowledge on bids, tenders, contract negotiations and export control; being able to utlilise this knowledge fully within the business. Due to the market the business works in, previous experience of working within either defence or aerospace is essential. If you hold a relevant professional membership such as CIPS, this would be deemed highly advantageous.
