Our Qatar based client BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services (BSL) is recruiting a Commercial / Procurement Lead on a permanent basis in Qatar.
The Commercial/Procurement Lead works as a member of a business or functional team to provide Commercial/Procurement support and communications on Commercial / Procurement strategy deployment to meet the operational needs of the management within the defined business / functional area.
The Commercial/Procurement Lead will manage the effective deployment of corporate Commercial/Procurement processes and typically would contribute to the development of Commercial/Procurement policy and processes for the defined area of responsibility. The Commercial/Procurement Lead would influence delivery of the functional IBP
The role holder may be required to carry out additional or alternative tasks from time to time, subject to holding the appropriate qualifications.
The role holder will provide Commercial and Procurement leadership to the on-base team to ensure the effective management of all aspects of the Qatar Contract:
Ensure compliance with the contract terms and conditions
Influence contract delivery to ensure contractual deliverables are satisfied
Establish the appropriate level of Commercial and Procurement governance and controls
Support planning, strategy and business development activity
The role involves but is not limited to the following:
Responsible for monitoring/administering or providing information about budgetary expenditure.
Involved in recommending or providing input on new procedures and/or quality standards and training and explaining procedures and/or quality standards.
Establishing review measures and actions to maintain and improve work standards and consistency of results.
Responsible for the management of all in-country commercial and procurement activities.
Approximately 5 - 10 years' experience and training is required for entry/recruitment into the job. This is typically experience in applying subject or discipline knowledge in job related situations (for example professional/technical experience). In addition, experience in applying tools and techniques (for example, tool use, use of software packages or mainframe systems) and general office/administrative/clerical experience are also required.
The job holder typically requires an ordinary degree in terms of formal education.
The main areas of knowledge required to perform the job are Commercial & Procurement. A thorough understanding of general theories and applications covering a broad knowledge of that area is required.
In addition to the above, knowledge in the following areas is also needed: Knowledge of some aspects of manufacturing, quality, systems engineering. Knowledge of several aspects of customer support, finance, legal, Project/Programme management, sales.
