Our client a leading Oil & Gas Operator are seeking a Commercial Analyst for a contract opportunity up until at least the end of May 2020.

Position Overview

The Commercial Analyst will provide a range of commercial support, including the "day to day" administration of existing contractual and regulatory arrangements relating to business infrastructure/assets.

The Commercial Analyst will work closely with the Commercial Advisers on the standard process of commercial contract compliance across the business. The post holder will be fundamental in enabling change and continual improvement across our business.


Ensuring that compliance obligations are met and information is provided according to the Oil & Gas UK Commercial Code of Practice (ICOP).

Key Duties

Accountable for the performance of all compliance obligations for the client's asset portfolio related to operation, transportation and processing of oil, gas, water and electricity.
Manage the reporting and invoicing of fuel gas, and undertake the annual 5 year budget for planning cycles.
Manage the Annual reconciliation process of Import/Export gas for FCA and Ross.
Provide coordination and work closely with Legal, Reservoir Engineers and Sub-Surface Managers in all matters relating to forecast capacity bookings and other compliance aspects including external ICOP reporting.
Ensure JV partners are notified of annual shutdown plans and capacity bookings.
Ensure the IT system used for compliance is fit-for-purpose and consistent for all client's assets.
Manage both the CBA and FCA email inboxes.
Maintain a list of commercial activities and priorities to assist effective planning within the department.
Undertake market intelligence activities to support commercial advisors in developing tariff levels for new agreements.
Calculate royalty payments for all client's assets.
Review tariffs in line with business needs and assist with tariff queries as and when required.

Education Attainment & Accreditation

HND or degree level qualification or equivalent in a financial, commercial or engineering based discipline is preferred or considerable experience in a similar role.

Professional Skills & Experience

Skilled in standard business software and IT systems, particularly Excel
Good overall understanding of data handling
