Job overview: Using guillotine to cut flat metal sheets and other materials

Cut and fabricate sheet metal products

Following proper handling procedure of the goods (cut each job with no scratches, dents, or other faults on materials)

Make sure generated paperwork corresponds with material in stock (ie. pallet labels, sheets quantities etc.)

Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job

Watching gauges, dials and other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly

Conducting tests and inspections of products and services, or process to evaluate quality or performance

Setup and operate machines such a guillotines (please see a photo attached)

Verify conformance of workpiece to specifications using callipers, square, ruler, and measuring tape

Establish and work to manufacturing standards and process parameters

Ensure that all safety equipment issued, e.g. ear defenders, safety glasses, safety boots etc, should be worn at all times.

Mobile phone should not be used at any times.

Complete any other reasonable tasks or requests as required in order to meet KPIs

Organisational skills

Understanding of the business needs and the impact that the person can make upon it

Able to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents

Able to read drawings and understand instructions
