Whats the role?
As a civil/structural engineering trainee, you will be working under the guidance of an engineer and will be involved in all aspects of civil/structural activity at one of our chemical manufacturing plants across Cheshire. Not only will you gain tonnes of engineering experience, you'll be ready to step up to new challenges with confidence and could find yourself in a great position to be fast-tracked to a graduate position with us in the future.
Fulfilling a 12 month placement is an ideal opportunity for a student to gain excellent industry experience, working alongside a diverse workforce of graduate and experienced professionals.
As the type of roles within our business are becoming more diverse, we are looking for people who are open minded, excellent problem solvers and who have an ability to learn quickly.

What will you do for 12 months
Assisting with Tata Chemicals site investigations across our 3 plants Developing detailed designs and drawings with the support of the engineering team
Assessing the risks of certain key projects and providing solutions Communicating and liaising with colleagues, architects and subcontractors Thinking creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems.

Even better if you have -Knowledge of civil/structural engineering industry trends new and advancing tools, techniques and technologies.
Placement experience within an engineering department

Qualifications - Ideally you are currently studying a civil/structural engineering degree (preferably in second or third year) on track for a 1st or a 2:1
