Role: Civil / Structural Engineers - Large Concrete Structures - UK Nuclear New Build
Location: Hinkley 'C' site near Bridgwater, Somerset
Salary: up to £59k + benefits
Start: January 2021 onwards (due to need to obtain security clearance - client happy to wait for candidates to serve appropriate notice period)
An exciting opportunity exists for Civil / Structural Engineers with large concrete and / or steel structures design and analysis experience and knowledge of relevant civil engineering Eurocodes to work in support of EDF's Hinkley 'C' nuclear power station construction project.
These roles will be based at the Hinkley 'C' site near Bridgwater, Somerset
Our client performs the role of the Review and Acceptance Team for the construction drawings for the HPC project. In this role, they receive the construction drawings produced by the client and then perform final checks, reviewing change, making sure the drawings have been updated, that they align with the schedule, etc.. They also pass any change requests received from the construction team on to the client's team producing the construction drawings . They best describe their role as being '…..the first and last point of contact before the construction team…'.
Prior nuclear industry experience would be useful, though candidates with experience in the design and analysis of large concrete and steel structures in other regulated industries (e.g. oil and gas, rail, marine, power stations, water treatment plants, etc) will be happily considered.
This is a long-term role (4-5+ years on HPC, plus the opportunity of work on further UK nuclear NNB projects) offering excellent future career and salary development opportunities.
For the right candidate, our client can offer a competitive salary and benefits package, combined with the opportunity to work for a highly respected company at the forefront of the UK nuclear new build industry
