We have an opportunity for a Civil Project Engineer based at Westlakes, Moor Row, Cumbria for a 2-year contract.

Job Role
Verifying all drawings and specifications provide adequate instructions for the work and advise the Construction Manager and/or Project Manager of any deficiencies or clarification needed.
Provide construction support for the various contractors and monitor and control field costs related to the project.


Review in co-operation with the Construction Manager and/or Project Manager, and agree the overall site programme for his area of responsibility including sub contractors Programmes.
Advanced knowledge of construction procedures including sub-contracting practices.
Communicate project updates to the project team regarding project timelines, budget, permitting, and close-out to ensure all tasks are completed on-time and within budget.
Monitoring and supporting the completion of all construction activities.
Maintaining construction documentation, correspondence, files, test records and _As-built_ drawings.
Reporting construction progress, costs and problems to the Construction Manager and the Project Manager.


Assist in the provision of construction expertise and input to constructability reviews HAZCON, MDDR, SDDR as required and ensuring the design, work scope and construction strategies embed the out puts. Ensuring a proactive and proportionate approach to nuclear safety through quality and safety to ensure that they are optimised on the site.
Assist with delivery of the construction discipline phase of the project, meeting safety, cost, programme and quality objectives. Ensure any corrective actions required are taken.

Civil Project engineer with experience and qualifications of undertaking local clearance coordination (Waste Management process)
IOSH Managing safely
Crane experience on Sellafield site (Crane scheme Knowledge)

Current possession of a P4 Sellafield pass or SC Level would be ideal
Monitored worker status is required for this role
