Qualifications: Time served Civil engineering apprenticeship, ONC/ HNC in civil engineering, ideally with further advancement to degree level, although experience of similar project would be a distinct advantage to support lower qualification level.
Experience: Minimum of 15years experience in Civil construction management ideally within the Oil & Gas industry. A high calibre self-motivated, experienced construction manager with demonstrable experience and competence in managing the site delivery. Able to demonstrate experience of complex major civil construction. Extensive experience in EPCM contract man management, planning of the works, the application of safe systems of work. Extensive experience in the application of temporary works, major concrete structures in a coastal location, movement / lifting and coordination of modules on land and sea. Personal attributes: Experience of working within a corporate safety system and ISO 9000 Quality System. Appropriately skilled in behavioural safety, observations of behaviours and feedback / reinforcement of behaviours. Competent in schedule driven projects, able to manage construction costs to budget and to lead on compliance to stringent customer build specifications. Must be able to communicate across all levels from senior company directors to the blue collar workforce. Be a structured individual who applies SMART goals, and sets clear targets and expectations on to the site management team. Takes ownership for the delivery, leads by example, and has the management people skills to create and maintain a motivated, site management team.
Description of Duties: Reporting to the project manager, initially supporting the design engineers and producing scopes of works, site plans and preparing for mobilisation. On site undertaking the day to day Construction Manager duties of the site construction management team and the subcontractors. Close liaison with client's engineers and management. Producing an array of reports covering safety, progress and quality. Advising the project manager of any deficiencies in the sub-contractor's performance. Ensuring safety, schedule, performance, quality and productivity are maintained at the expected high levels.

Target Rate: £55/hr Expected Hours/Week: 50
