Control/ Electrical Team Leader Based in Middlewich in Cheshire. Permanent Position.

The Control / Electrical Team Leader for Salt Operations is responsible for providing leadership and technical guidance to a team of Electrical, Instrument and Packaging technicians to ensure that effective maintenance is carried out for the Salt Operations the drive should be to create a predominantly Preventative Maintenance Strategy supplemented with corrective maintenance.

Principal accountabilities:

Manage the Salt Operations electrical, instrument and pack line technicians ensure all work undertaken by the team and contractors is carried out according to the Company's required health, safety and environmental standards, processes and procedures and in compliance with Statutory legislation.

Support the Control / Electrical Manager to deliver direction, objectives and goals for the Control Electrical team and ensure that acceptable levels of competence are maintained within the team and that training and validation is carried out for all activities as necessary.

To continually monitor the output of the control / electrical/packing technicians with an objective of making improvements to the work programme and methods to deliver cost benefits and improving reliability and availability of plant.

Deliver an on-going programme of minor control electrical projects providing benefit to the manufacture of salt including: improving electrical efficiencies instrument control and trending of energy generating equipment increased pack line availability and output

Interface effectively with the mechanical maintenance team, operations team, asset management and HV teams to deliver an on-going programme of corrective and preventative maintenance activities across the Salt manufacturing facilities.

Set up and manage on SAP control / electrical / packaging technician preventative and instrument testing routines. Ensure compliance to the work schedules.

Day to day management of the control / electrical / packaging technicians ensuring compliance with company policy and procedures. Monitor attendance, holiday entitlement, sickness absence etc.

Assist the Control / Electrical Manager to monitor and control fixed cost budgets to comply with financial targets. Ensure robust forecasting and accrual processes are followed.

HNC / HND in Electrical and or Instrument Engineering with at least five years experience

Management and Leadership training
Proven leadership and management skills
The ability to plan and organise a wide range of activities concurrently and interface with other workgroups.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
High control and electrical technical standards.
Systematic approach for a wide range of CE maintenance activities.
Ability to monitor costs and work within budget constraints
Able to set high professional standards of safety and workmanship.
Detailed knowledge of safe systems of work and experience of legal and statutory requirements
