CE Engineering Manager
It's an exciting time to join Tata Chemicals Europe…….
Who are we?

Tata Chemicals Europe (TCE) is the UK's sole producer of sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate, as well as the market leading producer of salt. We are also one of Europe's leading producers of these and other related products.

There are exciting times ahead for us as we embark on major investment across all our manufacturing sites in Cheshire to grow the business and deliver reliable high quality products into increasingly diverse markets. This programme of investment and development at our Lostock site includes major infrastructure projects that will secure our position as a market leader in the production of Soda Ash.

What will you be doing?
As the site's responsible Engineer for CE you will provide professional guidance to project and maintenance teams and ensure that the site works to good engineering standards, is compliant with all HSE requirements and drive a culture of continuous improvement and CE system reliability in CE installation and practice.

You will be responsible for developing CE policy, standards and procedures to ensure full compliance with legislative obligations and company standards and provide design input to capital projects.

This role provides Line Management to CE Functional Engineers within the Engineering team, and although providing professional guidance to the Maintenance Team their line management is provided through a separate maintenance function.

What kind of person are we looking for?

You'll ideally be degree qualified in an Instrument, Control and Electrical Engineering related subject, with experience in engineering design, electrical and Instrumentation maintenance.

You'll ideally be a Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership in an appropriate engineering discipline.

You will be able to demonstrate a very good understanding of current standards and best practice in CE engineering practice and installations. You will be able to gain respect from your colleagues for your knowledge and experience and your willingness use this to support improving the site. You will be a team player and great at engaging people.

You will be able to quickly assess what needs to be done, develop a plan, gain support for the plan and deliver it in a prioritized and timely fashion.

Experience of continuous improvement, root cause problem solving and equipment reliability would be beneficial.

What can you expect in return?

Our people have always been at the center of the company's success and in return for their hard work and commitment, we offer a generous benefits package including: 37 days holidays per year, inclusive of Bank Holidays, an additional paid day off each year to volunteer for a good cause in the local community, an excellent contributory Pension scheme, Life insurance, Healthcare and a range of other optional benefit schemes all within a flexible work environment.
