Job Title: C# Developer

Location: Blackburn

Duration: 6 Months

Rate: £41.00 per hour

Job Description

A software developer is required to work within an existing IT team which provides both application support and development services for a number of applications that are key to our clients manufacturing domain. The individual must have a strong software development background within the following technologies:

- Microsoft Visual Studio .NET technologies - specifically C#
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Browser based applications

The role covers the entire lifecycle of a software application from establishing requirements, analysis and design, development, testing and post go live application support. Microsofts Team Foundation Server is utilised to manage many aspects of the software lifecycle.

The Individual

The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in software development utilising C#
- A background in developing SQL server based applications with excellent knowledge of SQL
- A background in browser based application development
- Strong systems integration skills including Web Service development and integration, COTS product integration via published APIs
- General experience of requirements gathering and testing activities.
- A history of formally documenting requirements, design artefacts, testing approaches and scripts, post go live support documentation
- have excellent communication skills

The individual will be responsible for working on both solo projects and team developments and as such must be comfortable with both team and individual working practices.
