Description of the role

The role has been created in the Landing Gear CoC for a Business development strategist, based in Bristol, UK, reporting functionally and operationally within the Landing Gear organisation.

Within the Landing Gear Engineering community, you will be responsible for some key strategic activities, in contribution to the Centre of Competence 2027 & 2035 Strategic vision. The scope of the activity will include the following areas of interest: Organisation, People, Process, Ways of Working, Business Model.

Within that context, your activity will consist in
o Supporting projects contributing to the strategic vision of the Centre
o Contributing to the validation and consolidation of the 2035 vision & objectives
o Taking an active role in achieving the 2035 strategic vision

You will be involved in leading Work packages contributing to these strategic objectives. You will be leading the development of the future Business Model to ensure value is aligned with the strategic needs within the Business. The role will require a level of travel to Partner facilities and other company sites.

Your tasks would be to

- Manage the delivery of the following set of Work packages, on various strategic projects:
o Consolidating the analysis of the as-is situation for the ongoing projects
o Consolidating a bench marking view (internal and external Airbus) to meeting the ongoing project objectives
o Definition of the potential scenarios and delivery of a set of recommendation to meet the project objectives, taking into account the as-is analysis and the bench marking activities.

Other activities may include:

o Organisation and facilitation of workshops to gather new concepts and ideas to contribute to the centres strategic objectives
o Business intelligence research and bench marking
o Business case consolidation
o Improvement proposal preparation and implementation of agreed improvements


o Good understanding of Aerospace Industry, and eco-system
o Knowledge of corporate strategy
o Strong Project management experience
o Previous successful experience in change and transformation management
o Good communication skills (ability to influence and convince stakeholders, and to present at all business levels)
o Negotiation level of English
