As a key recruitment partner for UK Power Networks, we are seeking for a Business Scheduling Assistant to join their team based in Childerditch, Essex – 6-month initial contract. The purpose of the Business Scheduling Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective running of all direct and contractor field resources for a range of work types including Small Service Connections and Fault activity, thereby ensuring full utilisation of the resources.  It will be necessary to update all scheduling tools and other in-house IT systems. A large part of the role includes liaising with Operational teams to ensure that delivery target is meet achieving great Customer satisfaction for Network Operations South-east & London Regions.

Day-to-Day tasks include:

  • Unsure all documentation is fully compliant within regulation and most recent safety laws/acts.
  • Provide general administrative support within the operations and wider office network.
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal teams to ensure permits are provided for the engineers and are correct for allocated job(s).
  • Ensure all reactive job(s) are allocated and booked on the system, ensure process/protocols are followed and compliant within regulations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to work in a pressured environment as part of a highly focused team
  • Previous experience within a customer service environment
  • Good telephone skills
  • Good level PC literacy, with the ability to learn and use a variety of systems with fast and accurate keyboard skills
  • Team working – The drive and ability to work co-operatively with others to achieve shared goals and optimise the contribution of all members of the team
  • Initiative - A bias for action and problem resolution
  • Flexible attitude to work and working hours
  • Self motivated, with a strong drive to succeed
  • Ability to build good working relationships with other staff and other teams within UK Power Networks and external partners
  • Experience within a similar role would be advantageous
