Business Improvement Manager; Solihull; Contract 6-9 months; £400 per day PAYE

As part of the transformation project our client is working on, they have identified a need to improve some of the underlying finance practices in order to enable organisational change. They have therefore created a 6-9 month project role to improve the business processes around cross charging, encompassing both engineering related recharges and other cross charges not related to the supply of goods.

Your key responsibilities will be;

Assess the current landscape;
On a site by site basis, perform an analysis of the current cross charge landscape

Analyse the systems, processes, and organisational rationale which have led to this landscape

Perform business process improvement

Change systems and processes using business process improvement and waste elimination techniques to implement a "right first time", potentially including;

- Correcting underlying processes, payroll and supplier relationship
- Improving underlying cost control and time capture
- Challenging historic business practices

Explore and propose ways in which alternative solutions such as reporting ad business intelligence can be used in place of physical charging.

Propose and implement long term solutions
For the remaining items where cross charging is the appropriate answer, investigate and propose long term solutions potentially including:
- Automated time capture and invoicing
- Cross-site purchase ordering and cost control
