Business Analyst - ETL, Data Analysis, Requirement Analysis, User Stories, MI reporting

My client is actively seeking a Business analyst to join their UK Technology, Data & Information Organsisation.

Skills/Experience

  • Good understanding of data and system engineering concepts to effectively integrate and analyse data to develop actionable business information deliverables
  • Good understanding of data integration and ETL (including processes)
  • Familiarity with data architecture, data warehousing and/or business intelligence deployed in a complex environment
  • Experience of management information reporting (business requirements reports, dashboards etc) and requirement analysis
  • Experience of creating user stories
  • Excellent stakeholder skills coupled with sound communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying areas that need improving or updating, making them more efficient
  • Deep analysis and research to inform build/buy/change decisions around solutions
  • To form a bridge between business need and technology delivery
  • Liaise between the IT development group and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of new systems
  • Evaluate new applications and identifies system requirements
  • Prepare communications/presentations on system enhancementsand/or alternatives
  • Utilise best practice and knowledge of internal / external business issues to improve products and servcies
  • Contribute to the design and development of technical solutions to ensure that business requirements are satisfied
