Responsible for working with clients within the Insurance Sector

Key Skills Required: -

• Good knowledge of insurance schedule of rates contracts
• Experience within a similar role is preferable, ideally within the property insurance claims industry
• Excellent communication skills
• Sound knowledge of building technology and the building industry
• Proven management skills
• Knowledge and experience of all insurance related perils such as fire, flood, escape of water and storm etc…
• Health and Safety knowledge relevant to the construction industry
• Construction estimating experience would be an advantage
• Confident IT skills including MS Word and Excel
• Ability to project manage and run several jobs at a time
• A strong focus on customer service
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Clean driving license

Qualifications required: -

• Minimum 5 years surveying / project management experience
• Degree in Building Surveying or alternatively HNC / HND in Building Studies (or equivalent)
• Suitable Health and Safety Qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH etc…)
• Appropriate CSCS Card desirable

The role will include: -

• Attending policyholder's properties that have been damaged as a result of an insurance claim
• Surveying and assessing the cause of damage and producing reports for client review
• Managing jobs up to £100K
• Creating schedules of work for insurer approval and in accordance with insurance principles
• Liaising directly with Loss Adjusters, Claims Handlers, Clients and Policyholders
• Working with and managing a sub-contractor supply chain throughout each project through to customer satisfaction
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients
