Build and Commissioning Engineer

Job Description

Support all elements that entail Nuclear Consultancy project delivery. This includes all areas of technical and non-technical works requiring specialist engineering knowledge within a test and commissioning environment (nuclear experience preferred), six sigma detailing, accurate report writing and sign off, document control, project & Stakeholder management, project KPI reporting amongst other detailing as dictated by the Nuclear Consultancy managers (direct and indirect). The applicant will also be required to support in analysing and delivering options/methods in streamlining manufacturing (specifically test and commissioning) of all processes within the reactor build (multi-programme). A secondment to our DTO department is to be expected where the individual will support in driving the Test and Commissioning modernisation programme. The reporting line will be directly to the Nuclear Consultancy Managers - however during secondments the individual will also have responsibility to report to managers within DTO/T&C.

Additional Information

Must be a good user of MS Office software Must have strong experience in test and commissioning Must have HND/HNC or higher with extensive experience within engineering/manufacturing environments. Must have manufacturing engineering experience with suitable associated toolsets e.g. six sigma Having knowledge of the Nuclear power industry would be beneficial The ability to build robust investment/business cases is desirable

Must have specialist manufacturing engineering knowledge within test and commissioning - having worked within large scale manufacture or management. Must also have experience in leading delivery of technical and managerial projects with an understanding of change management and how this is implemented.

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
