Our client is a global leader in aerospace engineering with a fantastic heritage.

Due to continued success they are currently looking to recruit a Bids & Proposals Manager to accept and manage proposals tasks from commencement of bid through proposal and negotiation to contract award for each task addressing:

a. Priorities and any conflicts
b. Resource requirements
c. Budget requirements

Key Responsibility Areas

* Manage individually and collectively packages of technical and commercial work for the proposals and bidding activity and complete within the given deadlines.
* Ensure all requirements are included within the bid response
* Liaise with all global sites as required
* Liaise with other functional departments for input requirements
* Liaise with external resources specific to the task
* Prepare briefing and approval papers as necessary
* Together with your supervisor, lead the strategy against selection process as defined by the tender/prospect
* Support to negotiations and handover to contract administration

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required

1. Degree: preferably in engineering or business or equivalent
2. Significant experience in bid preparation, commercial role or in project management.
3. Good proficiency in English (written and spoken)
4. Good computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
5. Interest in technical and commercial aspects
6. Capability to handle multi-tasks and priorities under time pressure
7. Flexible attitude to meet demands of the bids
8. Ability to build collaborative working relationships
9. Accuracy and focus in preparing documentation that may become contractual commitment
10. Preparing reports Desirable Skills And Competencies
11. Capability to evaluate customer needs and experience with customers
12. Capable of writing Statement of Work, by defining project-specific activities, deliverable sand timelines.
13. Understanding of contracts
14. Problem solving attitude
15. Good communication skills Influence groups and individuals outside direct control / relevant functional area
16. The combined capability to grasp detailed information and define big picture scenarios
17. Multi-cultural awareness
18. Knowledge of other languages useful particularly Italian, Spanish & French
