Our client's Compensation and Benefits team has an immediate opening for a Benefits Coordinator including benefits administration, LOA (leave of absence), accommodation processing and other job-related activities as we grow.

We're looking for a pro-active, rigorous, and accountable talent candidate, who relishes paperwork and who thrives on meeting deadlines in facilitating day-to-day administration of benefit programs and participating in other strategy development activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for Benefits inquiries and issues. Responsible for working with Shared Services team on reviewing, prioritizing and responding to all incoming and open benefits cases. Escalate to Benefits Manager and external resources as needed.
  • Responsible for administrating bi-weekly payroll deduction files. Utilizing internal reporting resources and data from multiple benefits administration vendors. Audit and correct benefit deduction discrepancies by reviewing and manipulating data. Ensure reports are delivered to Payroll on-time and content within is accurate.
  • Drive LOA process for country. Track, monitor and administer disability claims and leaves of absence, including Family Medical Leave. Communicate with all involved parties and provide updates on absence status and return-to-work activities.
  • Facilitate accommodation process. Manage intake of requests for accommodations and conduct interactive process with all involved parties. Determine accommodations to be provided and coordinate implementation of accommodations when granted.
  • Administer billing process which includes reviewing and reconciling enrollment data and approving invoices for payment. Prepare wire requests and funds transfers for claim payment, 401(k) and HSA funding.
  • Process new hire enrollments and changes quickly and accurately. Manage intake and review of supporting documentation for dependent verification.
  • Help on other projects as needed. Cooperate with other HR professionals when required.

Required Competencies: .

  • Working knowledge of employee benefits administration and programs. Progressive experience of health plans, retirement plans, tax shelters, and related employee benefits programs;
  • Progressive experience in benefits field. Demonstrates ability to research problems, apply analytical techniques, and follow through issues to resolution;
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality customer service a must;
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; and
  • Ability to handle confidential personal situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - especially Excel

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Human Resources or related field preferred or minimum of 3+ years' experience in benefits administration/HR

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with payroll and benefits software systems (workday preferred)
  • Have previous experience managing time/leave of absence programs
  • Have a working knowledge of federal and state legislation and legal issues related to the benefits industry
