The Battery Bay Technician reports to the Battery Bay Supervisor and is an experienced and skilled electrical technician, undertaking a range of detailed maintenance activities in the Aircraft Battery Bay.
At this level the post holder requires a good understanding of the construct of the approved Technical Information set and is competent to work to approved data, maintenance instructions and in accordance with the organisation's Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE). Demonstrates the ability to analyse and diagnose faults to equipment & assemblies and follows approved diagnostic procedures and works effectively within a team and provides guidance to less experienced team members in a diverse and dynamic operational environment.
Undertake detailed maintenance, inspection activities on the Aircraft Battery components. Assuring work carried out has been completed in accordance with the SOW/Work package using the relevant approved technical information. Resolving faults and maintenance issues, including an awareness of configuration management.
Undertake and complete tasked maintenance & diagnostic activities on the Aircraft Battery components which may include, as appropriate, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/or functional/system test.
Demonstrates a flexible and proactive attitude to carrying out responsibilities appropriate to the role and takes direction appropriately.
Maintain personal task authorisation for working on an aircraft or components in accordance with AMC requirements.
Progress reporting against delivery targets to supervisor.
Undertake support tasks within the Battery facility which are required to maintain compliance with the MOE and AMC procedures (e.g. oversight checks, control of tooling/test equipment etc.)
Undertake fault evaluation and raise ad hoc work cards and for 'found faults' during maintenance.
Maintain personal Log Book to demonstrate currency and recency.
