Our Filton Client has a requirement for a Automation Engineer to join their team.

Experience of managing Automation aspects of New Product/Process Introduction (Industrialisation) & existing production process improvements. Ability to influence people and navigate effectively through a highly matrixed organization. Ability to build trust and establish effective working relationship with site technical teams. Experience in changing and transforming operations and in engaging people in that change. Working knowledge of Lean processes and practices, product process data management and configuration control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Defining Automation Policies, Standards and Best Practices for TRA and Capex processes

Defining and providing training for Automation, funded by Sites and supported by the Skills fund

Implementing best practice by consolidating all existing automation CoPs and launching one automation CoP.

Defining and facilitating Site Self Assessments for compliance to the Automation Policies, Standards and Best Practices

Managing in the UK our sources of resource (internal and external) to provide Programmes and Value-Streams/Operations with the capability and capacity to perform the necessary Automation Projects

Ensure that all key responsibilities maintain compliance to existing Aerospace Policy Management System (APMS) requirements e.g. mapping the TRA and Capex processes into this structure
