Working across a variety of prestigious and complex projects this specialist team are a source of world leading expertise producing innovative and award-winning sustainable engineering solutions throughout the lifecycle of any critical systems project.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and client focused electrical building services leader to join their Critical Systems team in London, and to play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative electrical design solutions for some of the most notable and large scale data centre projects in the world.
You will collaborate with our global critical systems team, and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically-excellent, profitable projects.
You will develop new and nurture existing outstanding client relationships that maximise satisfaction and ensure repeat business, and will use your wealth of expertise and determination to manage, motivate and inspire less experienced engineers.
A Chartered Engineer, educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering (MEng or BEng), you have gained significant experience in an electrical engineering role within the power systems field, preferably in a data centre/critical systems context (electrical distribution and power generation systems etc.). An established expert in the critical systems field, you already have experience of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines, and are well-versed in the use of relevant design software including Amtech, ETAPS or SKM power systems analysis software.
In your most recent position you have consistently demonstrated your ability to manage multiple large scale projects and less experienced engineers to deliver to, and exceed client expectations. You have proven ability in producing schematic diagrams, fault and discrimination studies, preparing specifications and project reports, carrying out site inspections and surveys, and detail design development, and crucially - you have a passion for accurate design of power systems.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
