Our client is an integrated facilities management services who provide the solutions, support, and facilities management services and they are looking an Assistant Commercial & Finance Manager to be based in Samlesbury.

Job Purpose:

  • Understand Contract & Scope and be able to discuss interpretations with the client
  • Provide specialist Commercial advice to Operations within area of responsibility
  • Provide the client with building cost reports, explaining them and presenting in an accurate and professional manner
  • Ensure all managed budgets are reconciled and relevant CRF's/PO's are requested in plenty of time
  • Support of all bid activities and reconcile contract changes
  • Review extras and projects to make sure we achieve the contractual margin
  • Attend Projects review meetings on a regular basis to make sure all contractual items are met
  • Provide Commercial support to Finance to manage invoice queries in relation to the core invoice
  • Follows up to address specific issues identified from output of commercial strategy, address client queries
  • Own and manage the contract scope in relation to change request forms (CRF's) providing vital, key information to both finance, asset team and operations
  • Support and lead for commercial the monitoring and tracking of contract KPI and SLA achievement. Provide mitigation and validation for KPI's.
  • Organise and support team meetings and events as required
  • Support the team in the keeping of records, producing monthly reports as required
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects as required by the Finance & Commercial Manager and Account Director
  • Supports delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards
  • Working hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Personal Specification:

  • Extensive business experience in a services environment
  • A Financial (Ie CIMA/ACCA) or Legal qualification
  • A high level of understanding of the key financial drivers of a services business
  • An understanding of financial matters and business modelling i.e. VIR, IRR, PIA, NPV etc.
  • Good IT skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of value led sales pricing and general cost estimating
  • Experienced in contract value optimization
  • Experience in preparing and negotiating legal and commercial aspects of sizeable services contracts
  • Experience of establishing and managing and/or working with joint venture partners
  • A thorough understanding of a commercial contract
  • Commercially focused and highly organised
  • Ability to prioritise workload within tight deadlines and to a high standard
  • Adjust rapidly and effectively to changes in work demands or business needs
