About the role

As an Area Engineer you will provide customers effective and safe engineering designs for Excavations, Formwork, Falsework and refurbishment projects. You will also be involved with the mentoring of graduates joining the team and have the ability to build strong working relationships across the business.

Day to day you will:
Liaise regularly with the sales function to finalise design brief details to ensure the clients' requirements are accurately captured
Effectively communicate both internally and externally to agree and meet set timescales
Attend client meetings and carry out site visits
Prepare designs for temporary works schemes for excavations, Formwork, Falsework and building refurbishment projects
Provide clear design information to the checking Engineer
Prepare accurate equipment lists
Utilise AutoCAD to produce high quality drawings
Comply, monitor and improve (where necessary) existing QA Procedures
Comply with Management H&S documents.
Produce safe designs, schemes, method statements and risk assessments in accordance with CDM Regulations 2007.
Ensure provision and maintenance of high level of service in all areas.


About You

The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum 3 years Engineering experience with a bias towards Temporary works
* Excellent software skills including AutoCAD and analysis software
* Strong commercial acumen
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others
* A proactive problem solver with excellent time management skills
