Air Vehicle Performance and Optimisation Team Lead
Would you like to play a key role in aerodynamic design? We currently have an exciting vacancy for an Air Vehicle Performance and Optimisation Team Lead based in the cosmopolitan city of Ankara, Turkey.
Within this role you will be involved in the reconciling of complex aerodynamic solutions with demanding low observable requirements.
You will have abroad knowledge of aerodynamic and performance disciplines and be able to lead specialist engineers and integrate with other disciplines in order to derive a competitive and compliant air vehicle design.
Your main responsibilities as an Air Vehicle Performance and Optimisation Team Lead will involve:
Apply specialist engineering leadership and expertise to ensure the aerodynamic design delivers a system with performance that is compliant with very demanding aerodynamic requirements
Report to the Air Vehicle Design Lead, and work with the Aerodynamics lead to ensure delivery of all aspects of aerodynamic design and development work for the programme
Lead and manage a team of highly qualified and specialist engineers covering diverse areas of aerodynamic expertise
Apply own wide knowledge of the area in order to develop solutions to complex aerodynamic and performance related requirements
Responsible for development of the programme capability in their area of influence including people, methods, tools and processes
Responsible for management of a team to deliver aerodynamic tasks within budget and demanding development timescales
Your skills and qualifications:
Knowledge and comprehensive understanding of single engineering disciplines; the ability to discuss and understand implications of technical issues across a number of other engineering stakeholder disciplines
Understands in detail the technical specification aligned to the functional area of activity as well as the external environment
The ability to hold technical authority and executing the associated responsibilities as applied to the programme
Knowledge and understanding of how teams interrelate and interacts with other functional areas aligned to the same contract
