SC/DV 3rd Line Network Engineer

I am on the lookout for a 3rd line Network Engineer provide network engineering support of the LAN and WAN across all security domains. The role will primarily involve incident management on our clients' live system, on incidents that have been escalated from 1/2nd line resources that are often remotely based environments.

There will be the opportunity to work directly with the Military and Royal Navy. Off the back of this, there is the opportunity to work on end to end projects that are implemented to Military sites and Naval ships.

This client heavily invests in individuals through internal training platforms and external training courses to keep you up to date with bleeding edge technologies.

Role details:

Installation, configuration, deployment, maintenance and diagnostics of all Network Devices and supporting cabling and infrastructure

Level 3 Support for the LANs and WANs relating to Core Services, which includes support to the AEN

Network support, advice and recommendations to design change

Liaising and working collaboratively with other Authority Third Parties, Resolver Groups, NATO and any other persons specified by the Authority to implement Service Changes and technical changes and resolve Level 3 Network Incidents, Level 3 Network Problems and Level 3 Network Defects

Experience need to be successful:

  • Competent with Cisco at 2nd line level at a minimum
  • CCNA certified
